Viet Cuong has worked with world class artists and ensembles including PRISM Saxophone Quartet, Sō Percussion, American Modern Ensemble, Anthony Mc Gill, and Nash Ensemble. Featured at Carnegie Hall, the Aspen Music Festival, the Bowdoin Music Festival, and CBDNA conferences, Cuong’s compositions have captured the attention of the world wide music community. Viet has won awards from ASCAP, Theodore Presser, Boston Guitarfest, and the Prix d’Été Competition as well earning honorable mentions ASCAP/CBDNA Frederick Fennell Prizes.
Currently a Naumburg and Roger Sessions Fellow at Princeton University with a BA and MA from the Peabody Conservatory, Viet has also been in residence at Ucross, Yaddo, Copland House, and the Atlantic Center for the Arts. Viet composes cakes when he is not cooking up music.
