A proud native of Louisville, Kentucky, Jeremy Podgursky’s music has been featured in venues and festivals internationally. His compositions have been performed, premiered, and read by groups such as Alarm Will Sound, Colorado Symphony Orchestra, Indiana University New Music Ensemble, Holographic, Peabody Modern Orchestra, and NewEar New Music Ensemble. Jeremy has received awards and honors from the American Academy Of Arts And Letters, Copland House Residency, Fromm Music Foundation, Indiana University, and ASCAP. Jeremy was presented in the Earshot readings with American Composers Orchestra in Chicago in 2013. Jeremy also founded and performed in the very successful indie rock band, The Pennies, sharing stages with the likes of My Morning Jacket, Mike Watt, The Grifters, Superchunk, Archers of Loaf, and the Apples in Stereo, entertaining audiences all over the U.S. and Europe. Jeremy received his BM and MM in music composition from the University of Louisville and is a doctoral candidate at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.
