Brendon Randall-Myers

Praised as "fiercely aggressive but endlessly compelling" (Joshua Kosman, SF Gate) and “a unique musical voice” (Dustin Soiseth, The Loose Filter Project), Brendon Randall-Myers is a Brooklyn-based composer and guitarist, and the co-founder of composer/performer ensemble Invisible Anatomy and min/maximalist punk band Marateck. His compositional output includes works for 100 guitars, screaming orchestras, and bass clarinets played through distortion pedals, and includes commissions from the Guitar Foundation of America, The Living Earth Show, Bearthoven, New Keys, Friction Quartet, Mobius Trio, Exceptet, guitarist Jack Sanders, and violinist Todd Reynolds.

As a guitarist, he has appeared with Ensemble Signal, Opera Saratoga, American Lyric Theater, Dither Quartet, and Experiments in Opera; on the Beijing Modern Music Festival, Ellnora Guitar Festival, and Switchboard Music Festival; and at such venues as Lincoln Center, Mass MoCA, Columbia's Miller Theater, Saratoga Performing Arts Center, and Le Poussin Rouge. Brendon grew up home-schooled in rural West Virginia, and holds degrees from Pomona College and the Yale School of Music, where he studied with David Lang and Martin Bresnick.
